Analysis
The Stampeders are coming into this game with a 1-0 record this season and they are coming off of a 38-26 win against the Ti-Cats in their last game. They picked up a new QB for this season and that has helped improve their offense, but their defense has not made many strides as they still allowed 26 points at home last week and were giving up a lot of points last year as well. They were one of the worst teams in the league last season as well and as well as they played at home last week, now they are going to be playing their 1st road game of the season and it is going to be much tougher for them. The Stampeders were one of the worst teams on the road last season as well, losing 8 of their 9 road games, and that includes a 39-25 loss in their only trip to Toronto. They are going up against an Argos team that is 0-1 this season and they are coming off of a 28-10 loss in their last game to the Alouettes. That was a very bad game for the Argos, but they were still dealing with a bit of a hangover from winning the Grey Cup last season, and the Alouettes had that game circled as they were the best team in the league last season but got kicked out of the playoffs at home with a 2 point loss to the Argos. The Argos are going to be hungry to bounce back in their home opener here and they were even one of the better home teams in the league last year at 7-2. They did not have much of a run game last week, but they will be better at home against this much weaker defense, and the Stampeders defense also got shredded through the air last week so Arbuckle will bounce back with a much better performance for them. The Argos will cover the spread in this game.
