Analysis
The Oilers are coming into this game with the series tied 2-2, but they have not been playing that well in this series. They got down 2-0 in the series with 2 losses on the road and those games were not very close. They lost the 1st game 6-5 after erasing a 4-0 deficit to start the game, but they still had an awful start despite fighting back and have not been able to keep the puck out of the net. They never led that game at all and then they followed up in game 2 by getting down 3-0 to start the game again and going on to lose 6-2. They were able to tie the series with 2 wins at home, but those were much closer games as well. They won game 3 at home 7-4 with 4 goals scored in the 3rd period, but that was another game where they had to play from behind as they were trailing 4-3 into the 3rd period. Then they followed that game up with a 4-3 OT win in the last game, but once again they were trailing that whole game and were even down 3-1 going into the 3rd period. They fought back to win that game 4-3 in OT, but every game in this series has been the same for the Oilers as they simply cannot get a strong start and stay ahead in these games. They are always playing from behind and they have not had the best goaltending either with the goals they have been giving up. Now the Oilers are back on the road with the series tied here, but they have not been able to get out to a strong start in this series and the Kings have been much better at home this season at 31-6-4. The Kings also have the much better defense and goaltending in this series as they had the 2nd best defense in the league this year, allowing just 206 goals in their 82 games which was 2nd best behind the Winnipeg Jets, and their defense was also much better at home as well. The Kings have been playing with the lead this whole series and now that they are back at home they will be able to shut down the Oilers and hold onto their lead on here at home. The Kings will win this game at home.
