Mississippi vs Wake Forest Prediction

The current betting odds have Ole Miss listed as a 23.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Ole Miss has looked good in their games this season with their 2-0 record overall. They haven't really been tested in either game but they haven't been tripped up by their weaker opponents either. The offense has been rolling over teams and even their defense has looked better, only giving up 3 points against Middle Tennessee last week. Meanwhile, Wake Forest hasn't looked great in their games this season with their 1-1 record overall. They won their season opener against a team from the FCS, but they are coming off a loss last week. They lost a heartbreaker at home by 1 point and the worst part is that it was a conference game against Virginia too. The defense didn't look good, giving up 31 points at home to a Virginia offense that is no juggernaut, and their defense isn't going to stop this high octane Ole Miss offense here. Ole Miss will pull away in this game to the point where Wake Forest won't have a way back in with their offense, especially since the Ole Miss defense has been better too. Ole Miss is looking to win the SEC this year so they won't take their foot off the gas here, especially since they have a real chance at making the college football playoffs this year with the new expansion. The best way to place a bet here is on Ole Miss to cover the spread in this game.

Mississippi Wake Forest Prediction:  Our NCAAF Pick for Saturday, September 14, 2024 (6:30 pm ET start time) is Ole Miss 49 Wake Forest 13.

Notable Quotes

“We have several good running backs. Parrish practiced well, so he got the start today and played well.” - Lane Kiffin after his team’s win against MTSU in their last game.

“There's no reason to try to pick that up. Just get on it and you have the football. You've seen how many times we do those drills. Obviously, we didn't make the point strong enough. We have a chance to get on that thing and if we do, it might be a different game." - Dave Clawson after his team’s loss against UVA in their last game.
