It was James Mitchell who ended up finding the end zone through the air for them. Chamarri Conner led the defense with 6 solo tackles, 2 assists, and 1 interception. TyJuan Garbutt led the team in sacks with 2. Jermaine Waller and Dax Hollifield both came away with interceptions as well.

The bookmaker has the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders football team as a big underdog in this game. Both of these teams are much stronger on defense than they are with their offense and both seem to lack a strong running game being very pass heavy. The Hokies are the better team here but it is hard to see them putting up a ton of points in this game, especially against a pretty good defense. This will likely be a low scoring game that stays under the total and that Middle Tennessee State University covers in as the Hokies will not blow them out completely. Either college football pick would be a good wager for bettors in this game.

Virginia Tech Hokies: Braxton Burmeister is one player to watch in this as he will want to carry over his good play especially in his home games. They did not have much of a run game in their last so pressure will be on him to make plays down field and to run the ball himself.
