Chargers vs Titans Prediction

The current betting odds have the Chargers listed as a 3 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Chargers lost their season opener at home to the Dolphins but the Dolphins have shown they are a big threat in the NFL over the last 2 seasons. They still played a really good game despite losing and their offense looked very good too. Now they are on the road but the Titans also lost their season opener to the Saints by 1 point. The Titans played great on defense as they were right in that game but it was their offense that let them down since they didn't score a single touchdown. The Chargers have a really good offense and as good as the Titans defense is, the Chargers are going to put up points on them. The Titans may be playing their home opener but their offense was stagnant at times in week 1 and they are going to have a much tougher task here as the Chargers do have a good defense along with a really strong offense. The Titans will keep this game close in the 1st half but they don't have the offense to keep up with the Chargers and eventually the Chargers will pull away in this game. The best way to place a bet here is on the Chargers to cover the spread in this game.

Chargers Titans Prediction:  Our NFL Pick for Sunday, September 17, 2023 (1:00 pm ET start time) is Chargers 28 Titans 17.

Notable Quotes

“I don’t think that we played the right leverages in the secondary and I didn’t think that we rushed the quarterback effectively enough. It turned into a track meet in the passing game.” - Brandon Staley after his team’s loss against the Dolphins in their last game.

“If we want to be a great defense, we have to be a great defense all the time. We tried to put the game in their hands and I thought we’d get a stop when we made the decision to kick, come down and get inside the 40 and try to kick a field goal to win the game.” - Mike Vrabel after his team’s loss against the Saints in their last game.
