BYU vs South Florida Prediction
The current betting odds have USF listed as a 12 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. BYU had a very good season last year as they finished with a 10-3 record but they were playing so well for most of the season that there were even talks of them possible being a final four team before they started to lose a few. That team is gone though as there are a lot of new faces in the program this year, including their starting QB and RB. Their offense is not going to be the same as it was last year as Allgeier, their leading rusher last season, is no longer with the team but he was a big part of their offense and pretty much a focal point that the offense ran through. With him being gone it is hard to see this offense taking off the same way it did last season. USF had a very bad season last year but they have a lot of their offense returning for another season, which is good as they will all be familiar with the system, but they have a new QB that will have to learn the new system but is also a big upgrade from who they had last season. USF should have a much better offense this season under Bohanon and they are on course to have a much better year. USF will be a better team this season while BYU is trending in the opposite direction now. The best way to place a bet here is on USF to cover the spread in this game.
