The run game had nothing going for them in that game as Johnnie Lang led the team in rushing with 18 yards on 6 carries. Lincoln Pare led the team in receiving with 69 yards on 7 receptions. Elery Alexander led the defense with 7 solo tackles and 3 assisted ones. Kivon Bennett had the only sack in the game for the while Leon Jones and Jeffmario Brown both came away with 1 interception each. Kendarin Ray and Cullen Wick both recorded 1 sack each in the game while Travon Fuller came away with the only interception for them in that one. They have scored 60 points in their first 3 games and they have allowed their opponents to score 88 points against them. Tulsa does not have a good defense from their first couple of games. Arkansas State should be able to move the ball well on them. They were not able to do anything against a good defensive Washington team last week but against a team with a bad defense like Memphis, they were able to put up 50 points. They will want to make up for that bad performance against Washington last week by coming out strong in the first half. Tulsa looked good against some tough competition and should be able to pull away against the bad Red Wolves defense. The more they pull away, the more Arkansas State will have to score quickly to respond. This one should go back and forth all game and end up going over the total here.
