Oregon Ducks:  won at home on Sep. 18 against the Stony Brook Seawolves 48-7.

 

 

 

Arizona is coming into this game with a 0-3 record overall this season. This will be their first true road game of the year and it will also be their first conference matchup of the regular season. Their 3 losses came against the BYU Cougars, the San Diego State Aztecs, and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in their last game. That last one was and embarrassing loss for them losing to a team from the FCS. Will Plummer struggled a lot in that game as he completed 19/34 passes for 191 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Jordan McCloud ended up taking over and he completed 6/7 passes for 66 yards and 1 TD. Drake Anderson led the run game with 72 rushing yards on 12 carries but other than that, they did not do much on the ground in that game. Stanley Berryhill III led the team in receiving with 94 yards on 11 receptions but no one else really made a big impact. Treshaun Hayward led the defense with 6 solo tackles and 2 assisted ones. Kyon Barrs had the only sack for his team in that one while Christian Roland-Wallace and Kenny Hebert both came away with 1 interception each but it did not really matter as they were not able to do anything with them and still went on to lose the game. They have scored 49 points in their first 3 games and they have allowed their opponents to score 83 points against them. Their offense is averaging 339.7 YPG while their defense is allowing 354 YPG.

 

 

Oregon is coming into this game with a 3-0 record overall and they are 2-0 in home games this season where they will be in this game. This will be their first conference matchup of the season. Their 3 wins came against the Fresno State Bulldogs in their season opener, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Stony Brook Seawolves in their last game. Anthony Brown played well in that game as he completed 14/18 passes for 159 yards and 1 touchdown but he did not play the whole game. Ty Thompson got some work at the quarterback position and he completed 6/9 passes for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns. Travis Dye had a nice day as he led the team in rushing with 87 yards and 1 touchdown on 15 carries. Dont'e Thornton led the receivers with 60 yards and 1 touchdown on 2 receptions but overall, it was not a busy day for the offense as they did not need to expel a lot of effort and they still managed to put up 48 points. Noah Sewell led the defense with 3 solo tackles and 7 assisted ones while Sua'ava Poti had the only sack for his team in that game. Verone McKinley III led the defense in interceptions with 2 while Bennett Williams also came away with 1 INT. They have scored 114 points in their first 3 games and they have allowed their opponents to score 59 points against them. Their offense is averaging 433 YPG while their defense is allowing 418.7 YPG.

 

Arizona is a very bad team but they will likely be very angry here after losing in such an embarrassing way last week to that kind of team. They will be looking to score some points in this game and work on the positives. Oregon will likely thrash this Arizona team as they have put up over 30 points in every single game so far. That was against good competition, the one bad team they played Oregon scored 48 on them. This should be a high scoring game as Oregon is out to prove that they are good enough to be considered for the college football playoffs this year. They have their eyes set on a national title so they will hold nothing back in this conference game. This will have enough scoring from both sides to push this game over the total, that is the best bet to make here.
