Washington State is 5-4 on the season, but 6-3 ATS.  They have logged 2 Overs and 7 Unders.  This isn’t a function of the defense or a lack of scoring… WSU has had some large point totals set this season.  They are 2-1 in road games and 3-3 in home games.

Oregon is a tough 8-1 on the season.  They are the only team in college football to stick it to Ohio State… however they are only 3-6 ATS.  They have notched 4 Overs and 5 Unders.  The Ducks are 3-1 in road games and 5-0 in home games.  This is yet another home game where they are favored.

OFFENSIVE ANALYSIS

Washington state stats tell a bleaker picture than their record.  The Cougars are ranked 92nd in the FBS on offense.  They have scored 30 TDs on 375 ypg.  That is good for the Pac-12 this season… but not great overall.  

The Oregon stats are a bed of roses. Oregon’s offense ranks 34th in the FBS on offense.  The Ducks have scored 40 touchdowns on 441.3 yards per game.  The passing game is average in the FBS ranked 78th… they have 162 receptions for 2004 yards and netting 222.7 ypg.  The running game is where they are grinding.  The Ducks are 17th in the FBS in rushing offense with 218.7 ypg.  They will be playing on a soggy field in very high humidity… This running game at home will tear Washington State’s defense apart.  Max Borghi is the team’s leading rusher with 571 yards but Deon McIntosh is close behind with 359 yards on 76 carries.

DEFENSIVE ANALYSIS

Oregon has the 59th ranked defense in the FBS… they give up 369 yards per game.

Washington State has the 74th ranked defense in the FBS… they give up 392.7 yards per game.

Washington State:  Jake Dickert.  The coaching stable had a rocky last year indeed.  Five coaches were fired for not getting their Covd-19 vaccinations… with former WSU coach planning a lawsuit against Washington State.  Oddly they have played better without those bums this season (to be fair the Pac-12 had a shortened season that was mostly cancelled last year.. So yeah… everybody played better).

Oregon:  Mario Cristobal.  He had no trouble getting his vaccine and is wrecking the rest of the Pac-12.
