Kansas State has lost two games on the season.  They lost to the #10 Arkansas Razorbacks 72-64 and the Illinois Fighting Illini 72-64… Identical losses and identical scores.  They are currently on a 2-game win streak against the Nobodies at North Dakota and Albany.  They will need some wins against quality schools if they have any hope of keeping their head above water in the Big12 when conference play begins.

Kansas State:  Bruce Weber.  Coach Weber has had the Kansas State head coaching job since 2012.  He has a Kansas State record of 174-132. He has brought Kansas State to the NCAA tournament 5 times and made it past the first game once in 2017-18… That season they got all the way to the Elite Eight.  His team seems to have fallen off a cliff since, but we did have a national pandemic.

Wichita State: Isaac Brown.  Coach Brown took over the team on an interim basis after former coach Gregg Marshall resigned under pressure before the 2020-21 season.  Coach Brown was later named the permanent head coach.  Coach Brown then went on to win the 2021 AAC championship and wiin the AAC Coach Of The Year Award…. Sounds like he should have had an opportunity a while ago, but he’s here now… and he’s winning now.
