An NBA interconference matchup between two teams that are disappointments this season. Both were expected to contend for top billing because of the success they had last season… but just a game or so after the halfway point of the season?... Neither are where we thought they would be. The Golden State Warriors are the defending NBA Champs. They celebrated yet another title run… and went into the summer knowing what they would do. They would shuffle out a few of the key bench players and completely replace them with a core group of amazing young players that were coming up the ranks and will one day take the entire team away from Draymond and the splash brothers! Except those young players not only did not take a step forward in growth… several of them have regressed. The Warriors find themselves longing for the missing bench players and wishing they had traded Wismen, Kunminga, and Moody when they were most valuable… during last season’s draft. The Chicago Bulls did not achieve like the Warriors last season.. But they did build a strong roster that provided something the Bulls have not had in years: Winning! It was thought that this would be the year they broke through! Since PF Patrick Williams missed last season with injury and multiple guards missed time as well. Yet when this season got underway… they simply have not been as good and Point Guard Lonzo Ball simply never made it back from knee surgery. The result has been severe regression that has the front office pondering a full firesale and mid-season rebuild.
The Golden State Warriors have won 6 of their last 10 games… But very oddly recently lost to the Detroit Pistons and the Orlando Magic. They won their last game against the San Antonio Spurs 144-113… which was a big blow out and win ATS. 8 Warriors players scored in double figures. Everyone got in on the action against a long dead Spurs team. SG Jordan Poole led the team off the bench with 25 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists. Curry had 15 points, Klay Thompson had 16 points… SF Andrew Wiggins had 16 points… SF Donte DiVincenzo had 22 points. Oddly C James Wiseman DID NOT PLAY… not even mop up duty at the end of the blowout. Jonathan Kuminga did not dress… SF Patrick Baldwin JR did not play… That is a lot of young 1st round draft picks, that were supposed to be a big part of this team, that the Warriors have failed to integrate… especially in garbage time? Trade Coming?
The Chicago Bulls have won 5 of their last 10 games. They are currently on a 3-game losing streak. They lost their last game against the Oklahoma City Thunder 124-110. The Bulls got to watch as Thunder guards Josh Giddey and Shai Gilgeous Alexander torched them for a combined 46 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. Bulls SG Zach Lavine had 25 points but a brutal -18 on the +/- scale while Bulls PG Ayo Dosunmu had 2 points, 2 assists and failed to stop Josh or Shai at any given point of the game. PF Patrick Willaims had 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in one of his better games. Bulls star SF DeMar DeRozan missed the game with a quadricep problem.

Golden State Warriors VS Chicago Bulls Prediction
Our prediction for Sunday, January 15th is…. Warriors 118 - Bulls 117
Bet on the Bulls. They will be underdogs but with DeRozan back in the fold and playing at home… they should be OK. Plus against the Warriors guards Dosunmu will not be physically overpowered like he was against the Thunder guards. Bet on the Bulls and let them cover that spread.

Players To Watch
Warriors: SF Andrew Wiggins. Andrew had a career year last year as he made his first all-star game and won his first NBA Championship ring. He is a rock of consistency for a team that has a full blown soap opera going on between the young players and the dynasty stars.
Bulls: SG Zach LaVine. Zach is a pure scorer who should be on the trading block. He is needed somewhere that needs to boost the scoring while not needing any real defensive help… because he can give that.
COACH
Warriors: Steve “Lord of the rings” Kerr
Bulls: Billy “None of my NBA teams are as good as my college team” Donovan
