An inter conference team between two of the hottest teams in the league.  Absolutely noone thought the Knicks VS the Kings would be a marquee matchup.. Not if you had polled the league last season… But they are… Every few years the top names in the league churns over to new names and both these squads are big recipients of that natural process. The New York Knicks have found a star that two teams had moved off on (for nothing in return).... PF Juliuys Randle is a top guy and at the moment he would be making either the Lakers or the Pelicans better than they are.. But their loss is New York's gain.  The Sacramento Kings pulled off a trade last season that in the short term made them MUCH better… In the Long term it will make the Pacers much better… but at the moment C Domantas Sabonis is a revelation… and when paired with PG De’Aaron Fox… you get a real winning team.  The great betting opportunity here will be found in the point spread.. It should not be too big either direction.

The New York Knicks have won 9 of their last 10 games.  They lost their last game, but went 8-1-1 ATS during that stretch.  The Knicks are on a run that recently snapped… So do they pick it back up?  They lost their last game to the Charlotte Hornets 112-105 in that game they got 27 points from RJ Barrett… but had quiet games from Randle and Quickley  with just 16 points and 14 points respectively.  During the run the Knicks routinely got big games from Randle and Quickley… They had bad games and will come alive again.

The Sacramento Kings have won 7 of their last 10 games. They won their last game against the New Orleans Pelicans 123-108. In the win they got 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists from C Domantas Sabonis… Domantas gets the occasional triple double but doesn’t ever sacrifice teamwork to get there.  They also got 25 points from SG Kevin Huerter, and 5 other Kings scored in double figures.  The surprise of the season is rookie PF Keegan Murray who keeps contributing on the defensive end while also notching double figures.

Knicks: PF Julius Randle.  Two teams regularly kick themselves for letting him walk. I’ve heard the muttering from both GMs… They gambled on “better” and have yet to see it.  Meanwhile Julius keeps putting up big numbers and notching that win column. If the Knicks were ever to let Julius walk… and I ran the Pacers or the Heat or even the Bucks.. I would make all the moves I could to get him.

Kings: PF Keegan Murray.  Keegan has proved all anyone needs to prove in their rookie season.  He plays both ends of the court well… and most importantly he provides a backbone his team desperately needs.  If their is really a rookie wall… we don’t have to worry about Keegan.. He will just play through.  His performance has bought his twin brother 4-5 draft spots just by association.
