Guardians vs Rangers Prediction

The current betting odds have the Guardians listed as a big underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. The Guardians haven't been having a great season as they are just barely over .500 but they have taken over the lead of the AL Central and will be looking to hold that down now. The Rangers have been doing the opposite as they have been having a great season with one of the best offenses in the entire MLB and one of the best records in the AL West too, but they have actually been slipping in their games lately while the Guardians have been playing a lot better. The Guardians are going to have Williams starting here and he hasn't made many starts this season since he is in his rookie year still but he hasn't been giving up many runs in the few starts he has had. This Rangers offense hasn't been great in their games lately either so Williams will have an easier time trying to shut them down here. The Rangers also have Heaney starting in this game and he has been giving up a ton of runs in his starts all season. The Guardians may not have a great offense this year but they have been getting a lot better lately and they will be able to take advantage of the way Heaney has been pitching lately along with the Rangers bullpen too which has been terrible all season. The best way to place a bet here is on the Guardians to win this game and on the runline.

Guardians Rangers Prediction:  Our MLB Pick for Saturday, July 15, 2023 (4:05 pm ET start time) is Guardians 3 Rangers 1.

Notable Quotes

“Honestly, it’s awesome to get my first win out of the way. Even though I just got here, being in first place, that’s where everyone wants to be. I feel like we’re going to keep doing well.” - Gavin Williams after their win against the Royals in their game on Saturday.

“You take where we're at at the break. Do we like how it's gone the last couple weeks? No, this is not how we want to finish. There's challenges during the course of a season and every club goes through them. ... I will say I think the break is coming at a good time. This has been a tough part of the schedule.” - Bruce Bochy after his team’s loss against the Nationals in their game on Sunday.
