A battle of the big boys, East VS West!  That could be missing some firepower for the West.  The Denver Nuggets are the Western Conference’s winningest team.  They have the league’s best player in C Nikola Jokic… and Joker has been bringing it all year so far.  Plus the Nuggets are  starting to see real contributions from long injured PG Jamal Murray and PF Michael Porter JR…. The problem is that Joker missed the last game with hamstring soreness and the Nuggets lost to the OKC Thunder… the other problem is that PF Michael Porter JR also missed the game for personal matters … and it is unclear if either will be able to play vs the Bucks on Wednesday Night.  The Bucks on the other hand are not th winningest of the East, but they are up there… Plus they have the league’s OTHER best player in PF Giannis Antetokounmpo… Giannis will play and his team just got SF Khris Middleton back from injury… and they will be on their home court.  The great betting opportunity here is deciding what exactly is the point spread’s sweet spot?

The Denver Nuggets have won 9 of their last 10 games.  They lost the last one, but there was a lot of winning going on before that.  Plus they are 7-3 ATS during the recent stretch.  The Nuggets are a winning machine when Nikola Jokic plays… they are capable of losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder when he does not.  They lost to the Thunder 101-99 in a close finish.  In that game the Nuggets had 7 p[layers score in double figures but the only real standout was PG Jamal Murray who had 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists.  Of the other 6 guys to get double figures SF Aaron Gordon was the high scorer with only 15 points.  

The Milwaukee Bucks have won 6 of their last 10 games.  For a few of their losses they missed Giannis Antetokounmpo to injury and rest.  Now, back in the fold the Bucks won their last game over teh Detroit Pistons 150-130… for a big win over a large -11 point spread.  In the win Giannis had 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists in 26 ½ minutes of play.  SF Khris Middleton played only 15 minutes in his return from injury and had 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists.  His minutes will go up as will his stats.  PG Jrue Holiday, C Brook Lopez, bench forward Bobby Portis and bench PG Jevon Carter all showed up with big games.

Bet on the Bucks.  The Nuggets are great but with waffling health at the moment.  If Joker and MPJ do not play?... They have no chance.  If just one of those two play?.. They have sort of a chance… If both play?... The Bucks are still at home with a fully healthy (finally) team.

Nuggets: SF Aaron Gordon.  Aaron needs to step up anytime the Joker misses time… only he doesn’t.  He tends to recede.  Gordon needs the Joker to take pressure off of him.  Watch him close.

Bucks:  SF Pat Connaughton.  With Middleton returning to the line-up… Pat has most likely just 2-4 more starts in his future. Pat is an obvious athlete and quality shooter… he’s just not consistent enough on the defensive end to keep a starter’s job.  He might be more relieved than anyone to get to come off the bench again.
