This series will be one of the best matchups in the playoffs this season. These two teams split their season series with mixed results. The only game that featured all three, Gobert, Edwards and Towns was their very first game of the season where Minnesota won at home 110-98. The other three games did not have Towns in those three and in the last game of the season, in addition to Towns, did not have Gobert either. The Timberwolves have a star studded frontcourt and have a lot more bodies they can throw at Jokic. It keeps being said that Minnesota was built to confront Denver and get past them in the playoffs. They are coming off an impressive rout of the Suns with a star studded Suns frontcourt that they beat with ease. Now they face the defending champions who struggled in a few games against the Lakers, who put up a fight and almost split the series. Minnesota will be better than the Lakers and will be a serious threat for Denver, unlike last season's playoff series, as these two teams are more evenly matched this season.
